Stefania Boemi lives and works in Catania. Search for objects from the past that convey emotions related to memory. Her “Sicilian things” are selected, unstitched and sewn up, stripped and repainted, disassembled and reassembled with the intention of bringing many obsolete objects to new utility interpretations.

Each piece of furniture is assembled by hand and transformed into a single piece. The happy manual skill and the attention to tradition, make her a testimony of the importance of conservation and the possible reinterpretation in a contemporary key for the market of artisan design.
